KAREN ARSENAULT

PERSONAL TRAINING, GROUP FITNESS, CONDITIONING

Karen has been working as a wellness and fitness professional for 25 years. She holds a BA from Mount Allison University, a Bachelor of Recreation Therapy from Dalhousie University and maintains certifications as Personal Training Specialist and Group Fitness Instructor Specialist. Karen continues to update her certifications through ongoing education in various specialties and emerging trends in the industry. She has taught in various provinces across Canada and is experienced with programming for youth, adults, seniors and varsity athletes.

Through a comprehensive and rich list of program offerings, Karen has developed a well earned reputation for her personal and inspiring approach to her clients and classes. Her programs are created with purpose and intention for effective client results and development. Karen’s genuine connection with her participants is known to have inspired the fitness journeys of a long list of community members.

In 2013, Karen was recognized with a Greater Moncton YWCA Women of Distinction Award for leadership excellence in fitness and active living.

Karen’s impact has also reached her three children Jack (16), Jamie (14) and Ben (12.) Along with her husband Pierre, Karen takes great joy in watching how physical activity and good nutrition have become such a regular part of life as their three young athletes pursue their own dreams.

PIERRE ARSENAULT

HOCKEY PROGRAM

Pierre is the head coach of our Hockey School. With a B.PhysEd from UNB and a Masters in Sports Administration from University of Ottawa, Pierre is the current Director of Athletics and Recreation at Mount Allison University.

As a hockey coach, Pierre brings a wealth of experience to the ice. He has a background in both administrative and program development with Saskatchewan Hockey Association and Hockey Canada’s Atlantic Centre of Excellence.

As a coach turned father he has dedicated much of his recent years coaching within the minor hockey system in Sackville, NB. Pierre has also coached within several summer and spring programs through both the Atlantic Hockey Group and East Coast Ice. Pierre is currently head coach of the AAA Female Bantam (U15) Rockets. Hockey is a genuine passion of Pierre’s and he loves being on the bench helping build players confidence, skills and worth ethic.

In 2012-2013, Pierre was recognized as the Sackville Minor Hockey Club’s Coach of the Year. He was also awarded the David Sears Award for long time contributions to Sackville Minor Hockey in 2018-2019.

UPtraining Hockey Schools are based on well-designed and intentional practices. The focus of each camp will be be to meet players at their current level and inspire them to improve through drills and activities directed at improving skill, hockey IQ and overall conditioning.
